Bright Blazer, Laced Booties

You all know that brights are sort of my thing, right?  And that I love me some orange?  Well, out of all the shades of orange that I wear, I find coral to be especially delightful.    All this means that, in my estimation, this blazer is pert near perfect; it’s not just bright, it’s bright coral:

I paired my coral blazer (thrifted), with a white, embellished tank (Design History via Ross) and lagoon skinnies (Gap) and added lace-up, heeled booties (Nine West via TJ Maxx).

Given the brightness of this jacket, I’m taking Tammy at Silver Style up on her kind invitation to link up to her Trending through the Decades series.  This week is all about brights, and there are some amazing looks showcased, so stop by if brights are your thing too.

And have a Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

If you already have it, you can follow me there, too,  @vanjaam is my user name! ;)

My last two weeks are in these photos:
- i got a gorgeous silk blouse from Romwe ( i will wear it soon),

- had coffee/ice cream/vitamin bomb breaks with my lovely girls,
- made with my dad new wardrobe and drawers ( for jewelry),

- and got this great phone from our mobile network Mts!
Grateful and satisfied, what else to say!

So, from now on, i will post occasionally pictures from my profile, some cute details, jewelry, food ...Combined in one or separated (as i did it today), hope you will like it! :)

Two for One

Yesterday I posted my outfit from Saturday night, so I’m including my outfit from yesterday, as well as today’s outfit, in today’s post.

This is yesterday’s outfit:

Close up of the animal print booties

Yesterday I wore pleats and animal.  I paired a black pleated skirt (thrifted), cream silk tank (thrifted), cranberry wool cardigan (Ports International, thrifted), black tights (Spanx), owl belt (Ross), tassel pendant (Old Navy) and animal print booties (80%20 “Tessa” via Piperlime).

And this is today’s outfit:

Today is very windy!

Dunce-man earrings - front and side views

Today I wore stars and studs.  I paired a star-print skirt (thrifted) with a plain white tee (Target) and a black cardigan (Gap).  I added black wedge booties (Nine West “Peekaboo” via Piperlime), a red, studded belt (thrifted), strange little dunce-man earrings (gifted) and bright red tights (DKNY via Nordstrom).

Due to a nearly crippling combination of laziness and poor computer skills, I don’t do retrospectives or even show multiple outfits in a single post.  But, I do think it’s kind of interesting to see a couple outfits together that show there is basically no rhyme or reason to what I leave the house in.

Happy Tuesday, All!

Bonus Footage: Red is Not Boring

On Saturday night, my friend Jodi and I went to a benefit dinner and auction for Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals (OFOSA).  OFOSA is an organization that, among other services, helps provide medical care and placement for those shelter animals that have been severely abused such as those with missing limbs and other significant health problems.  It’s a wonderful cause and I was very excited to go, however, I realized, when trying to decide what to wear, that one side affect of blogging is that I feel pressure to wear outfits with some “interest.”  That means different things to different people, but for me, it tends to be creative pattern mixing, layering and/or unique pieces.  And if I don’t do or have one of those things, I worry that an outfit is boring.

I even thought this dress was boring:

I know I look like I'm trying to sell you this clutch, but I just really like it.

Until, that is, my friend, Alex, reminded me that red is not boring.  And, she’s right, it’s not.  This is an absolutely lovely dress and I felt very pretty in it.  I paired the dress, which I got in a clothing swap with Alex, with black strappy sandals (Nine West) and black and gold accessories.

Of course, just to make sure I felt like me, the accessories I wore were unique accessories, like my lion earrings and this newly thrifted vintage clutch of awesomeness:

Close up of the bird applique

I have no idea what label it is.  It’s satin and the bird appliqué is actually made of metal instead of fabric or thread.  It was $4.00 and I love it.

I also borrowed this gorgeous vintage Lisner choker from my friend Kendra’s Etsy shop, House of Heirlooms:

She has some amazing items, from jewelry and handbags to household items to brand-name vintage clothing such as Christian Dior and Versace.  You can take a peek for yourself, here.

So, no, red is not boring.  If anything, it’s highly visible, which is why I’m linking up to Visible Monday, hosted by the always fabulous Patti at Not Dead Yet Style.

Happy Monday, All!

Saturday was reserved for Belgrade Fashion Week and a night with my girls. Little bit of fashion, snap shoots, and lots of laugh (and ice cream with double chocolate topping but shh...) ... I decided to wear black&white outfit, faux leather pants with silver shoes and white blazer.
And what we saw that first evening, you can check HERE,  i will also update this post and link it, soon as one of my friends upload even better photos. :)
p.s. those girls who are planning to visit our BFW can participate in this cute  Cinderella contest and try to win Giordano Toressi shoes and become their face for spring, how great is that?! ;)

p.p.s. huge thanks to lovely Anja for taking these photos! Hope you will like it!
