Today on the "How I Wear My" series (hosted by Jill and Adrienne) we're showing how we wear our neon. With the exception of this neon dress, I tend to wear my neon in small doses like in today's look:
I paired my neon yellow sandals (Tommy Hilfiger via Piperlime) with a gray dress (thrifted). I added a thrifted belt, a turquoise and lime scarf (Echo via Nordstrom) and lime studs (gifted (thanks, Megan Mae!)).
For more neon looks, please visit Jill at Everything Just So.
But, while you're still here, what about you, Reader Friends? Do you wear neon? If so, how do you wear your neon?
Happy Wednesday, All!

Sewing Savant and Possible Psychic
I love this dress:
Love the print, love the fit, love it.
I mean, look at this thing. It’s amazing:
It's perfect for swishing about, dramatic walks down spiral staircases, Mama Mia! viewings and casual summer parties. I'd just add a white blazer for cool nights and I'd be set. You can see it with a blazer at Everything Just So where the lovely Jill has included my pic with other party pics.
The best thing about this dress though? It's handmade. I’m always yelling about how much I love handmade vintage and this dress is a prime example why; it looks like it was made for me. It wasn’t, of course, unless… Unless my 70s toddler-self sewed it for my future-self, at which point I should probably go on the next season of Project Runway because I’m clearly a sewing savant and possibly psychic!
Happy Thursday, Everyone!

How I Wear My Floral: With Stripes & A Little Shine
Today I am participating in the How I Wear My: Floral Challenge with Everything Just So and The Rich Life (on a Budget).
So, how do I wear my floral? With stripes, a toucan and a bit of bling:
I started my look with my colorful floral skirt. Which in turn started as a double-breasted, thrifted dress; I hacked off the bodice to "make" it a skirt. I then added a striped 3/4-sleeve tee (J Crew Factory Store) and ankle strap flats (Hive and Honey via Piperlime). I finished off the look with a vintage toucan pin (gifted) and a vintage rhinestone bracelet. Because sometimes a girl just wants a little shine:
And a tropical bird brooch. Of course.
To see how others wear their floral, please to visit Jill (at Everything Just So) and Adrienne (The Rich Life (on a Budget)).
Happy Tuesday, All!

My Skirt is Not Neon
It just looks like it is. Because nothing is EVER the same color on my blog as it is in my house. At home, this skirt is a lovely, bright kelly. In pictures, it really is practically neon:
I paired my non-neon skirt (vintage, via Vintage by the Pound) with a blue-and-white striped bow blouse (also vintage, also via Vintage by the Pound). I added a leopard belt (???), yellow platform sandals (Franco Sarto via Nordstrom Rack), a vintage Monet cuff (Red Fox Vintage) and a single earring (no idea).
I feel very 80s in this outfit. Which, for me, is a good thing. I adore the 80s but admit that it sometimes colors my judgment. Surely only someone enamored of the 80s would think pairing this practically-neon skirt with this blouse and adding random animal print, side-swept hair and a single earring makes sense. Does it really make sense? I have no idea; I’m probably the last person you should ask.
I do like it though and am happy to link this outfit to Jill and Adrienne’s How I Wear My: Secondhand Treasures Link Party. To see more secondhand treasures, please pop on over to Adrienne’s blog, The Rich Life (on a budget) for a visit.
And have a happy Wednesday, All!
