And tonight I wanna introduce you to my special IM box.
I craved for them for such a long period, searched in every country that I traveled since then and finally I got the chance to try it in Paris and pick one.
Isabel Marant Dicker boots are the most comfortable shoes so far and I wouldn't stop here probably! ;)
You can't resist them!

Birdie Awesomeness

As an Oregonian, I am, of course, unable to resist anything that has a bird on it.  So this shirt?

Yeah, this shirt was destined to be mine.  Not only does it have birds on it, but it fits my long arms even though it’s not offered in “Tall”.  Those two qualities alone are reason enough to love this shirt.  But then you add the fact that it looks adorable layered under my apricot sweater and it is birdie awesomeness at its best.

In addition to the awesome bird button-down (Caslon via Nordstrom) and the apricot sweater (Worthington via Goodwill), I also wore flared jeans (Gap), camel wedges (Corso Como via Piperlime) and neon studs (Kate Spade NY via Nordstrom).

Friend Ferge thinks the neon studs don’t make sense with this look.  She is wrong.

Happy Thursday, All!

Black and Baroque

Aside from the unfortunate placement of some of the design elements, I rather like this Yves St. Clair vintage blouse:

Although I have a well-documented affection for scarf-print blouses from the 80s, I wasn’t sure about this one because it’s not very colorful.  But, I do love the pattern (baroque nipple shields aside) and really like it paired with black skinnies (a.n.a via JC Penney) and animal print wedges (80%20 via Piperlime).

I also added a filigree heart necklace (Modcloth) that I think works well with the pattern of the blouse:

I know, it’s not terribly spring-y look, but as they say, if it’s not baroque, don’t fix it.  And, in my opinion, this outfit doesn’t need any fixing.

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

Gettin’ Matchy With It

I’m not usually known for being matchy-matchy, or for matching at all according to some.  But, when I was gifted this vintage necklace this weekend (thanks, Mom!) I knew I was going to match the heck out of it:

 And match it, I did:

I’d actually already planned on pairing these emerald cords (Lucky Brand via Marshall’s) with my bright blue sweater (thrifted via Goodwill) and velvet flats (Old Navy).  Adding the necklace and some gold bangles (Nordstrom) just seemed like the right, if obvious, choice.

But, don’t worry.  Tomorrow I’ll be back in a color combination that makes no sense to anyone.

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

Sure It’s Boxy, But It’s Plaid

And that is, apparently, reason enough for me, because, yeah, this dress is boxy.  But, it is also plaid:

And here at Fashion for Giants, we'll take plaid in any shape.

Yes, I could have worn a belt, but I didn’t.  I actually like the cut of this dress.  And the colors of the plaid are fun.  So, I may look like a box, but I look like a fun box.  So, no, no belt.   Just a vintage plaid dress (handmade via Goodwill) layered over a blue-striped blouse (Gap), blue tights (DKNY via Nordstrom) and riding boots (Born Crown via Nordstrom).

Oh, and I also wore my new carnelian Friendship Bracelet that the lovely people at RedEnvelope sent to me:

It also comes in iolite and aqua chalcedony, but, let’s be honest, I was never going to choose any color but orange.  And not just because it goes so well with plaid; as we all know, orange goes with everything so that’s a non-issue.  No, I just think the luminescent quality of carnelian orange is so pretty. Really though, I would have been happy with any of the colors or several other pieces from RedEnvelope; they have some lovely, lovely items.

Speaking of lovely, I thrifted a new coat on Saturday:

Which is also a bit boxy, isn't it?  Maybe boxy is my new thing?  I don't know, but I guess it's possible.  Again though, boxy or not, I love this coat; I love the color and the weight is perfect for spring.  Also, the bracelet sleeves show off my Red Envelope bracelet perfectly, so everybody wins.

Happy Monday, Everyone!
